When I was creating this budget sheet I had a very difficult time. The most difficult part of it was deciding which foods were more important. When i assessed my list a third time, I saw items that I wanted but did not need. For example, I had a pound of Kettle Turkey that was $9.99. Instead of getting a ten dollar pound of turkey I could get an array of other items that are more beneficial to my budget and my hunger.
This budget made me realize a major thing that I do not think other people picked up on. I need to succeed in my life to have the nice things. Even though food is not a big thing, I would need a lot of money to feed myself when I am on my own. This was a reality check into showing me that money does mean a lot in today’s world and even with food.
After doing the Shop-rite project, I realized how much money I will need when I’m older to support my eating habits. The cost of food is sky rocketing and even the store brand prices are going up too. My ideal grocery list was over three hundred dollars. I would need a lot more then seventy-five dollars to for fill my hunger.
